Friday 26Jul19 - Anxieties

Today is the last day of the seventh week. Next week the I need to complete a research poster despite our many setbacks and false starts. Week after next, we'll leave for McDonald Observatory. I'm somewhat unsatisfied with the work I've done so far. I haven't even finished manipulating the data! I feel like my work has yielded no fruit, no results.

Rebecca has been very supportive. She keeps reminding me that this project's aim is to give me a realistic research experience. Sometimes, progress is not linear, or proceeds only in fits and starts. I am sure that we will press forward, redefine some of our goals, and turn this learning experience into a great poster.
